I finished this view over the marshes of the Camargue this evening. For over two years now I have had my water colour sketches scattered on the floor of my studio, pinned to the walls of my studio, taped to the shelves in my studio, waiting and waiting for the way forward. The water colours worked but the oil paintings didn’t but finally finally I think something must have triggered or jolted my brain and I think I am quite happy with my paintings so far.
