Spring inspires in me new hope, new joy, new inspiration and creativity. I lie in bed in the morning and watch the birds feeding madly in the blossom tree and ivy outside our bedroom window. The cacophony of birdsong and the vareity of birdsare both a visual and musical delight.

We started to have sunny days again last week, so David and I visited one of our favourite places for a day out in the sun and a yummy meal. Tourtour is just 20 minutes drive from us, it is up a windy hill, the narrow road twists by olives groves and long views over the mountain tops to Aix-en-Provence and beyond. It is an unspoiled and unique medieval village. Worth a visit if you are ever in our area of Provence.

I am having an exhibition in Draguignan our local little town on April 1st, the gallery owner only wants my abstracts and I don’t have many left. I have been stuggling a bit but I am getting there.

Tomorrow we are off to the Camargue, which is also part of Provence. I will be sketching and painting the flamingos and salt marshes. I love where I live!!
This is my tenth and last year of Paint Provence with Tess, I shall still run painting workshops but mainly on command. If a few people get a group together I will be happy to teach for a short week here or there. My Paint Provence with Tess website will be closing this year but Tessa Baker Art will still have a page for my trips.
I shall let you know what is happening in future blog posts, but for now, anon.
