Provence Spring Blossoming

I got home from Antigua and went to the studio the very next day, oh happy me, but that very same night I was struck with a nasty bug that laid me low for a week. So I am sorry I have not posted for two weeks. We arrived back to beautiful weather and spring blossom in abundance in our garden. The wild pear blossom is almost outrageous int its beauty.

Wild orchids, japonica, wisteria, marigolds and iris to name but a few.

I have changed a few dates and I have changed a few trips, instead of the Luberon I have decided to take paint Provence with Tess to the Camargue to paint the Flaments Rose, the salt marshes, the rice fields and the endless sunsets. We will go from May 27th – June 3rd.

We will visit the extra-ordinary church of St Maries de la Mers where the two Mary’s were supposed to have landed fleeing the Romans from the shores of Egypt to the shores of the Camargue.  The church has an ancient crypt where a beautiful statue of Saint Sarah stands adorned in gifts or layered and colourfully woven materials. Crutches and walking sticks, all sorts are left behind in the crypt with Sarah as believers in her healing powers walk away healed.

We still have one place on our spring trip April 29th – May 6th. So if you want a spring filled poppy provence painting why not come on this trip.  Also don’t worry about missing Antigua, we have two trips in March 2018 in Antigua just click here.
